Mr. and Mrs. Steven Copeland

Steven Copeland, Patricia Copeland and their daughter Laura, all graduated from Gloucester County College. They enjoyed their experience and believed the education they received through G.C.C. gave them “a leg up” in their future and their accomplishments after college. They benefited from the scholarship programs offered at the college and when they were able to do so, wanted to “give back” to G.C.C. and the community. They have created this endowment provide fiscal support to future students who otherwise wouldn’t have the chance to achieve a higher education. This endowment is designed to assist students who are concentrating their studies in the nursing or health and science field. Funds were dedicated to these fields because in 2011 Patricia was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her doctors, nurses and lab technicians demonstrated kindness and willing to try to make her experience the most positive possible; and now that her cancer is in remission, they have decided to assist future student entering these fields of study. Steven and Patricia understand how costly tuition, lab fees and/or books can be and decided to “lighten the load” of students who wish to be caregivers or try to find a cure for a disease.
